Desription .........  The iPad A1430 model is based on the new iPad A1416 with customization requested by AT&T wireless provider. It is designed to work with AT&T networks and has AT&T branded software loaded into it.

The iPad A1430 model is one of two models with Wi-Fi + 4G. It uses 4G LTE service provided by AT&T and contract with the AT&T is required to keep access to their network. It will only work with AT&T 4G and you cannot switch iPad A1430 to Verizon network. You will need to purchase another iPad for that. This iPad model number is iPad A1403

AT&T provides the following data plans that are 4G LTE:

  • 250MB for $14.99
  • 3GB for $30
  • 5GB for $50
In addition to the AT&T 4G LTE wireless network you gain access to over 30,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot-spots in USA. There is no long-term contract or any kind of contract required and you can cancel your data plan any time for the iPad A1430. AT&T provides fall back on its 3G UMTS wireless network in case 4G is not available in your area.

Nice but AT&T in question : I like iPad, there is not an issue with the device and I would have provided five stars but AT&T is spotty at best.

iPad 3 or new iPad : Would anyone know official name for the new generation of iPads? Sometime I hear iPad 3 sometime the new iPad and some time iPad A1430. I was never figure out correct title for the new iPad.
